Samantha Phillips is an incoming Assistant Professor of Informaiton Systems and Security at Kennesaw State University. She graduated with her PhD in Cyber Studies, MS in Cyber Security, and BSBA in Computer Information Systems from The University of Tulsa,
Samantha's research interests are information security culture, enterprise security, human aspects of security, risk management, and security education, training, and awareness (SETA).
She has 4+ years of industry experience in general IT support and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) with a focus on policy development.
Samantha has been greatly involved with cyber clubs and organizations and has held various leadership positions.
She is passionate about helping others learn the importance of cybersecurity and how to keep themselves and their businesses safe. She regularly volunteers to teach cybersecurity lessons for K-12 students, including Girl Scout workshops.
